Australia Day Camping – Flannagan’s Reserve

The best way to spend the last 4 days of the school holidays. We took the girls bush to Flanagan’s Reserve (near Mt Barney). Even though it is only an hour and a half away it felt like we were in another world. The girls enjoyed swimming, rock hopping, getting dirty and looking for wild animals (each other) with their torches. We attempted face painting on Australia Day and the site rangers put on a reptile demonstration for all the kids. Aside from the couple of hours of drizzle on the first morning and the broken car at 4am (ask Roger!!) the whole trip was great and one I’m sure the girls will remember for a long time.
